What Do You Do With a Big Bare Wall

Put scrapbook paper on it. My dd gave me this idea for my craft room. I love it is't very colorful.

Another one of her ideas hang interesting fabric. I think of it sort of like hanging a tapestry. I have also hung quilts.

Cover it with pictures, posters, different objects. I didn't do it here but I like to mix pictures with dimentional objects like I did with my bird pictures in the library here.

Those are great ideas. I don't really have any large walls to cover because this house has so many nooks and crannies and windows in odd places. I love that fabric with the chairs.

I can't wait to show pictures of my craftroom when its finished! I hope to be creative like you in making little niche's of things.I need to figure our cute ways of storing things rather than piling things up and everything cluttered. My daughter is creative that way,so I'll be using her for my designer!

Dear Miss Linda,

Thank you so much for your kind words!!! You are so sweet!

I cannot recall, but I think my husband drilled a few holes in the bottom of the container. I did fill the bottom with broken clay pot pieces, so I think your idea of filling the bottom of yours with gravel is a good one, and would provide the drainage you need. I look forward to seeing your container garden!

Are you able to grow lettuce right now? I could just see a container of heirloom lettuces for you to enjoy through the cool months. It grows beautifully in the autumn and winter here, but I do realize your winters are much colder than ours! I plan on filling a raised bed with swiss chard in the middle, green onions on the sides and spinach and lettuces on the outer edges. I usually have that planted by now, but our garden is such a mess. When it gets cooler out, Adam is going to double up the raised beds and add some compost in hopes our garden will produce better.
